About Us

Our Philosophy

Kevin Wilkes founded the Princeton Design Guild in 1985 to support and advance the Arts & Crafts ideal of progressive design combined with skilled craft. PDG supports the belief that your home should be unique and memorable; functional and flexible – most importantly, it should be a pleasure to enjoy for years. Here at PDG, we design our projects' exteriors and interiors to reflect our client's goals for an elegant lifestyle combined with modern convenience and comfort.

Our special attention covers all crucial details of your project from the initial impression of a beautiful entryway to today's gourmet kitchens' sophisticated requirements. PDG supports our clients in all phases of design. We prepare preliminary feasibility studies, in-depth architectural drawings, detailed construction documents, interior design schemes, furniture designs, and custom cabinetry detailing. We also build the work that we design. The client can exert control over all phases of the design and construction process within one organization.

Our History

Princeton Design Guild has completed over 500 residential projects in thirty-five years of business. Our early years explicitly focused on the Princeton area architecture needs of our residential customers – over time we grew and expanded to serve discriminating clients across central New Jersey from Sea Girt to Summit, from Harding to Hopewell.

As we became established, we designed new homes from the Upper East Side of Manhattan down to Kissimmee, Florida. Clients throughout the Tri-State area have high praise for the firm's commitment to individualized design services. PDG designs each project as a unique statement and tailor's design aesthetic to each client's needs and lifestyle.

Princeton Design Guild's architectural strategies enliven the private rituals of daily life, enrich indoor living's spirituality, and bring drama and excitement to the art of entertaining.
